The Pink Pummeler is a homophobic villain, and longtime applicant to the Evil League of Evil, whose mission in life is to beat up as many homosexual people as possible. His secret identity was realized as a bi-curious child when he was caught by his evil father, a conservative evangelist man, looking at gay porn on the internet. He was severely punished by being beaten with boxing gloves (as not to leave a mark on him) and then being locked in the underground basement at his family home in Love Canal, New York. After spending a week in that toxin-filled basement he emerged... changed. He found that he had special powers that no one else had. He was able to spot homosexual people from miles away, a power he called "Gaydar". He also discovered he had superhuman strength and the ability to instantly recall and then sing every Broadway show tune ever written. Thus far he has been repeatedly rejected by the league due to his penchant for taking his potential victims to local bars, then to his place to watch the Blu-ray version of The Wizard of Oz and look at etchings instead of beating them up.

He is briefly seen with Moist while Moist is trying to call Dr. Horrible who is too busy plotting Captain Hammer's murder to pick up. He is probably also a friend of Horrible himself and is seen at Dr. Horrible's celebratory Evil League of Evil party.
